What do we do?

THE SOCIETY was formed in 1974 to promote an interest in wild birds, their habitat and their conservation by means of lectures, discussions, and group and individual Field meetings.
MEMBERSHIP is open to all those who are interested in wild birds and bird watching. Application forms are available from the Secretary and Membership Secretary.

Recording

We conduct a range of surveys independently and for the BTO and welcome any records of sightings which are submitted to the Rotherham Biological Records Centre.

Who do we work with

We work with local government, being a member of Rotherham Borough Council's environment Forum. We work closely with other local interest groups including The Wildlife Trust, RSPB and The British Trust for Ornithology
